Walk Invitation - Saturday 18th May

We have pencilled in Saturday 18th May for our sponsored walk in aid of Dogs Friends.

Walkers will have a choice of two walks, one being 5 miles and the other being 10 miles as follows:

The walk will start at 10.00am at temple Meads Station.

We will be doing the first part of the Bristol Triangle walk up to the downs (approximately 2.5 hours/5 miles), then have a picnic, then if people wanted to get the bus back into town they can.

The next part of the walk is cutting to Redland and back down (another approximately 2.5 hours/5 miles) where the walk will terminate at the Temple Meads.

We have chosen this walk as it is through the main parts of Bristol, aiming to get as much publicity as possible. For more details please email Rowena on

Dogs Friends' annual dog show is booked for Sunday 30 June at 2pm at our usual venue of Winscombe Community Hall.  We are looking for sponsors for each of the 20 classes set out below.  However, we are quite flexible, so if you particularly wanted to see another class on the day we will do our best to add it to the schedule.

Sponsorship is a minimum donation of £10 a class.

If you would like to sponsor a class (or two), please email gcp123@btinternet.com with details of which class you'd like, and who you are sponsoring it for - this could be in memory of a pet, or the name of your business.

Cheques will need to be payable to Dogs Friends and sent to the Treasurer, Durlston, Celtic Way, Bleadon, BS24 0NF.

We'd be very pleased to hear from you if you can help on the day - perhaps you could donate a raffle prize, or a cake or could run a stall for us?
