Background
Baxter arrived in our care due to a family change in circumstances, and has been used to living in a busy family home.
Character
Baxter is a typical beagle who is affectionate, and loves fuss and attention. He be a little boisterous, and excitable at meal times! After a bit of Beagle singing, he settles well in the home and is generally a good boy.
Outside the home
Baxter really enjoys his walks and likes a good explore with his nose to the ground. He behaves well on the lead, but can pull a little, if he picks up a scent, or smells a scrap of food. Full attention required, to prevent him picking up food, wrappers etc!
Health needs
Baxter has arrived extremely overweight and needs to loose around 6kg (around a third of his body weight). It is absolutely essential to his welfare that his new home are fully committed to a strict diet and exercise plan.
Adopting
Baxter is in foster care in North Bristol and applicants will need to come and meet him here.
