Background – Bear arrived in our care after being found abandoned – his foster carer can’t believe that this well manned, sweet Frenchie was abandoned.

Character – Bear loves people (including children) and adores human company. Bear is very playful and loves playing with balls and kongs –  even when they don’t have any food in them. Bear gets on well with other dogs and could play for hours but needs a home who will feed him separately long term as he can be food protective around other dogs.

Type of home – Bear adores his walks and has lots of energy so a semi active home would be ideal, however he does also love snuggles on the sofa. Bear would prefer a home with someone who is a home a lot (or who can take him out). When he first arrived he had a little bit of separation anxiety but this has already improved significantly as he is learning to trust, however will need ongoing training and management.

Adoption – Bear is in foster care in Weston Super Mare and is ready to move on to his adoptive home. Applicants must read the ‘adopting’ page before applying and should also be within our catchment area (Somerset, Bristol, Weston, Bath and immediate surrounding areas).
