Background – Bella arrived with us from a breeder in a terrible state and has needed a lot of patience and TLC, but she is really starting to come out of her shell and is doing incredibly well considering her sad past.

Character – Bella is a worried little soul, but is incredibly special and you can really tell she wants to be loved. Bella has started to accept affection and likes a little bit of fuss when she knows you are kind.

With other dogs – Bella will need to live with another dog, who should be calm and kind. Bella will need consistent canine companionship to help her understand the world around her.

Type of home – Bella would be best suited to a very calm home – she is a bit of a project pooch and will need people who understand the trauma that ex-breeding dogs have experienced. Bella is scared of people so will bark at them, and needs someone willing to work with her so she can understand that some humans are friends. A slower pace of life with gentle walks will suit Bella, but she travels well in the car and is ok to be left for short periods of time.

Foster carer says – When she lets you close enough she loves a little chin scratch. She’s got very soulful eyes, now that we can see them! A lovely little dog, she will be so easy to take care of, once she feels safe and comfortable.

Adoption – Bella is in foster care in  Bristol and applicants will need to come and meet her here.
