Background –
Bella came into our care when her owners could no longer care for her, she went straight into a lovely family foster home.
Character –
Bella is a typical goofy, happy, friendly Cockapoo puppy. She looks at life through her big paw-shaped rose-tinted glasses and brings joy to any room that she is in.
She loves to cuddle up on the sofa with you so you can snuffle your face into that gorgeous chocolate mop of fur!
She can be a little nervous of new people at first, particularly men, but it doesn’t take long for her big heart to open up to them and become besties. Similarly, this gentle soul loves children too, but loud and boisterous children would understandably be a bit scary for her.
Bella is friendly to every dog that she meets and is always ready to play!
Bella has been on lots of adventures with her foster family, she travels well in the car and settles perfectly in a quiet corner of a pub or cafe.
She walks beautifully on the lead and with a tiny bit of reassurance when something scary comes into view, she walks on well and carries on her jolly little way.
All in all, Bella is just a perfect little package!
Type of home –
Bella is a really wonderful dog who would suit many types of home setups. She is a young dog and an active and intelligent breed, so she would be best suited to an active home that can provide continued training and socialisation, enrichment and quality exercise.
She is a happy and loving girl who would want to be fully embraced as a member of the family!
Bella loves her walks and has shown great progress with recall when loose in secure fields or on a long line. Her new family would need to continue this training until her recall is solid.
Bella has a beautiful cockapoo coat and will need regular grooming to keep her comfortable.
Bella could live with or without another friendly dog, although this playful girl would probably love a playmate!
Bella has not met any very young children whilst in our care, but given her temperament, we think she would be fine living with children of any age as long as their interactions were calm and respectful.
Bella has lived with dog-savvy cats in her foster home and has shown no aggression and has only directed her attention toward them to instigate play. She will playfully chase, so any resident cats would need to be comfortable around a young dog.
Bella is fully house-trained and can be left at home for a short time with some enrichment toys.
Adopting –
Bella is in foster care in Cheddar and the successful applicants will need to come and meet her here.
Please note: Once successful applicants have been processed the adoption process moves very quickly (within a week) so please do not apply if you are not ready to welcome a new family member immediately (i.e not upcoming holiday etc.)
