Background: The very aptly named Buddy is a 5.5 year old Patterdale cross, and he arrived in our care a few weeks ago after an unfortunate change in circumstances for his previous owner. He was lucky enough to go straight into a kind foster home where he has been a very happy boy.

Temperament: Buddy has slotted straight in to his foster family and has been good as gold with everyone he has met. He’s lovely natured and has been a very easy dog since being with us.

Dogs, cats and children: Buddy fits in well with his canine pack in his foster home, so we think he’d enjoy life with or without a doggy companion, as he has lived happily as an only dog in his previous home. He’s been absolutely fine with his foster family’s grandchildren so could live with sensible kids. Whilst he’s not been too bothered by neighbourhood cats, he’s not been properly cat tested and is a terrier, so may not be a good match for a family with cats.

Training and walks: Buddy enjoys long walks so would suit a fairly active household, plus he’s still got a little bit of excess weight to lose! He has been a loved pet and so is house trained, although, as always, adopters should anticipate accidents in the early days.

Ideal home: We think Buddy will be a popular boy as he’s so easy going: who wouldn’t want to be Buddy’s best buddy!?

Foster in Woolavington.
