About This Project

Carlo

Breed: Miniature Schnauzer

Age: 8 years

Donation: £350

  • Could live with children
  • Prefers to live with another dog
  • Can live with cats

Background – Carlo arrived with us from a breeder, and was in a terrible way – matted to the point he had to be sedated for clipping, and with no experience of the outside world. Totally heartbreaking. Fortunately his brilliant foster carer and her resident rescue pooch have done a fab job and he has come on leaps and bounds.

Character – Carlo is a little cautious about all of the new things he is experiencing, but is rapidly gaining in confidence and is an inquisitive little chap. Carlo is a good boy on his walks and has done well with lead training, and travels well in the car too.

With other dogs – Carlo is Mr Perfect with other dogs and loves being with them.

Type of home – Carlo would be best suited to a calmer, semi active home, ideally with another dog. Carlo can live with calm children, and could also live with cats.

Health – Despite his background, Carlo is in relatively good health. Carlo has been vaccinated and will be neutered on 17th November. Carlo does have cataracts which will mean he’ll need some special care (likely to include lubricating eyedrops), but his assumed poorer vision does not appear to bother him one bit!

Adoption – Carlo is in foster care in  Bristol and applicants will need to come and meet him here. As long as he recovers well from his neutering, we are hoping he can move to his new home at the start of December.
