Background: Cheeko arrived in our care when his elderly owner did not feel able to meet his needs.

Character: Cheeko had a bit of an unsettled start in life and so understandably he is a confused young man. The team at the kennels have been working really hard to help Cheeko and he has already made progress which is very promising, but he really needs to be in a home now to continue this work. Cheeko does resource guard his bed, food and toys and can be reactive and snappy because of this.

Animals and children: Cheeko needs a calm and quiet, adult only home without other dogs. Cheeko does walk well with other dogs when out and about, but wouldn’t cope with sharing his personal space with another dog.

Ideal home: Cheeko loves walks and playing in the secure field so would make a great companion pooch. Cheeko’s adopters must be willing to continue his training, with the ongoing support of our team.

Adopting: Cheeko is a resident at our kennels near Wells and applicants must be willing to travel here to meet him.
