Background – Clifford arrived with us recently having been ‘retired’ as a stud dog. Clifford went into a lovely foster home where he happily settled in for a luxury retirement. Initially Clifford was reported to be 14 years old but further investigation shows that he is 10 years old.
Type of home – Clifford would benefit from a calm and relaxed adoptive home with patient and kind people. Although he is very spritely for his age, he will need a gentle retirement home where he can receive plenty of TLC and love.
People and children – Despite his background Clifford is relatively confident with people and will happy receive comfort and reassurance – in time he may very much enjoy being a lap dog. Although Clifford would likely be perfectly amenable to children, he is probably best suited to an older home to match his older age and slower pace of life.
Dogs and cats – Clifford would most likely thrive in a home with other dogs for company and reassurance as this is what he has always been used to. Clifford is not cat tested.
Health – Clifford will be having a dental as soon as a space is free for him.
Adoption process – Clifford is in foster care in South Gloucestershire and applicants must be willing to meet him in his foster home after being home and reference checked.
