Background:

Cooper arrived in our care due to a change in circumstances for his owners, who have taken very good care of him – he’s been a much loved companion and as such is a happy little dog.

Character:

Cooper is a very affectionate boy who is always happy to meet new people – he rushes to the door with a waggy tail.

In the home:

Cooper settles well in the home and happily snoozes next to his foster Mum whilst she works at her desk. He does like to be in the same room with his people and wouldn’t like to be shut away alone, he’s a real companion dog. Cooper likes to sleep in bed with his people and will lick your face to wake you up at 6.30 am when he wants his wee wee’s. Cooper does bark at any wildlife on the TV – even Ostriches!

Outside the home:

Cooper loves walks and will happily walk for a good hour, he does pull on the lead, especially when he first gets out. Cooper will bark at passing dogs but we think he wants to be friends, he just doesn’t have the social skills and needs some work with this. We think it would be less stressful for Cooper if he could go to a new home without any other dogs.

Type of home:

Cooper will need a home with people who like good walks, and who are happy to ensure he gets lots of cuddles and affection. Cooper must be allowed to sleep on the bed with his family!

Health needs:

Cooper is in good health. He is a fussy eater so his adopters will need to be patient with him, he particularly likes Forthglade Turkey and Goose.

Adoption:

Cooper is in foster care in the BS16 part of Bristol and applicants will need to come and meet him here.
