Background –
Daisy came to us from a breeding background and seems to have been passed around a bit – it’s believed she has had three litters of puppies. We were told that Daisy had issues with other dogs and this was why she needed to come into rescue.
Character –
Daisy is incredibly loving and affectionate – she is very, very sweet and clearly adores people. One of Daisy’s favourite things is snuggling up on the sofa and she will happy curl up with you to relax. Daisy also really seemed to like the children she spent the day with and was very keen to be around them! Daisy isn’t great with other dogs and will bark at them, so will need ongoing management, training and socialisation with this.
Type of home –
Daisy loves her walks and will need a home with someone who can give her decent walks (she has a speedy walk and will happily walk 2 miles). Daisy will need a home as an only dog, and will need someone who is home based as she has shown signs of being anxious alone and will need ongoing training to build up time alone gently – to start with you wouldn’t be able to leave her. Daisy needs to be allowed to sleep in with her owners at night as she would be very distressed being shut downstairs by herself.
Adopting –
Daisy is in foster care in North Bristol and applicants will need to come and meet her here. Applicants must be in our catchment area (Bristol, Somerset and the immediate surrounding areas).
