About This Project

Purdey

Breed: Border Collie x Cocker Spaniel

Age: 9 months

Donation: £350

  • Happy to live with a canine companion
  • Can live with children 8+
  • Not cat tested

Background – Purdey is seeking a new home through no fault of her own and is currently still living with her owner.

Character and needs – It goes without saying that she is an extremely exuberant and energetic pup who needs a rural home with an active family who can provide her with the training, mental stimulation and physical exercise she needs.

People and children – Purdey is extremely people friendly and would love a home with children to play with. She loves playing fetch with her current owner’s grandchildren but her excitement means she’d be likely to knock over very young kids.

Dogs and cats – She loves other dogs and sometimes gets over excited to meet them! She could live with a calm canine companion who is happy to play with her as well as show her how to chill out. Purdey has never met any cats, but may be able to live with a very calm, dog experienced cat with careful introductions.

Training needs – She has had some basic training and is a very good girl, but she needs someone to help continue her training and bring out the best in her. A family with working breed experience would be very beneficial as she of course has many typical collie and spaniel traits!

Adoption process – Purdey is with her owner in Yeovil and applicants must be willing to travel here to meet her, as well as have home and vet reference checks.
