Background –
Faith was picked up as a stray and came to us from the pound – fortunately she went straight into a foster home where she has been a delight.
Character –
Faith is very affectionate and gentle with the household members and has strongly bonded with her foster Mum and prefers to be wherever she is. She loves to play but settles easily and enjoys a good sleep and quiet time. Faith is relaxed both at home and at foster Mum’s work. She is a typical puppy and given chance will probably chew the odd item or jump up at the worktops for yummy or interesting things. Faith finds the outside world interesting and likes to stand and watch new things she sees or hears. She is aloof and not really interested in people she doesn’t know well but always gentle.
Faith is very well settled in the home. She loves to sleep on the sofas or a comfy bed in the daytime or play with her Labrador friends. At night she sleeps very well in her foster Mum’s bedroom on the floor in a bed next to her. She’s taken out to toilet 3am and then will happily sleep in her bed until you want to get up! She also loves a cuddle on the bed when offered to her.
Faith is happy and relaxed outside the home. She likes to stand, watch and listen to new things. She loves her walk to work and walks nicely on her harness. If something worries her she either stops and works it out or comes to you for reassurance.
Type of home –
We are looking for an active home with experienced dog owners who have the time to dedicate to Faith’s training and socialisation. Faith seems to have taken a lot of reassurance from the other dogs in the home and so we think she may really like to live with another dog, but she could go to a home without as long as the person had a lot of time for her. We are looking for a home without young children and cats for Faith.
Health –
Faith wasn’t microchipped when she was found, but this has now been done along with her first vaccinations. Faith will need to return to our vets in Somerset for her final vaccination and will be released on a strict neutering agreement.
Adopting –
Faith is in foster care in Somerset and applicants would need to visit her here. Please note that we only rehome to Somerset and the locally surrounding areas (such as Bristol, Bath, Wiltshire) and applicants from outside of our catchment area will not be taken forward.
