Breed: Collie cross
Age: 10 months
Donation: £300
Hector is a very clever, handsome Collie cross who is under a year old. He arrived with us last spring and was adopted by his foster family. Unfortunately, a while later, there was a major kerfuffle between him and one of the other young resident dogs. So Hector came to us and has been here for several months now.
He is a very bright, intelligent and sensitive soul. He laps up training and guidance. He looks for direction and really wants to please. We are looking for an experienced person who would love to continue with his training and give him a future ‘job’ where he can use his body and mind. Agility, tracking, hoopers, etc.
Hector would be happy as an only dog. He did live with lots of dogs, plus cats and children previously but somewhere rural and with older children and adults or just an adult would suit him better.
We would like to rehome him locally to us so several visits can be made beforehand and our trainer/behaviourist can be on hand too. Hector is currently stressed and therefore nervous in kennels but is starting to really come out of his shell during sessions with a trainer.
