Background –
Henry was found as a stray so has an unknown history, but when you meet him it’s hard to imagine why no one came looking for him as he’s a cracking little dog.
Character –
Henry’s foster carer says ‘Henry is super cute and affectionate, likes to give you a lick at every opportunity and very playful. But also still nervous with some things, sudden moves, loud noises, sometimes even putting his harness on if he is not expecting it. He still seems to be going through the “puppy bitey stage” when you play with him.’
Henry settles well during the day whilst his foster Mum is working and likes to sleep on the sofa or in the bed by her desk. Henry sleeps upstairs with at night and would like to continue with this in his adoptive home.
Henry loves his walks, having a good sniff and explore. He is a little charmer with everyone he meets! He has had a little grumble at other entire male dogs, but is generally very happy to meet other dogs.
.
Type of home –
Henry would be best suited to a home without very young children, but otherwise would be suited to a variety of set ups. Henry would probably love a canine playmate (unfortunately his foster sister doesn’t want to play with him) and would love a home with people who enjoy their walks.
Henry gets stressed being left alone so wouldn’t suit a home with people out to work all day.
Adopting –
Henry is in foster care in North Bristol and applicants would need to come and meet him here.
