Background –
Isabelle came to us from a breeder as a ‘retired’ breeding girl and went straight into a caring foster home with a young family.
Character –
Isabelle is a little golden angel. This sweet girl has taken to living in a family home like a duck to water. Her foster mum says she is affectionate, calm and friendly.
She likes to follow her foster mum around the house but her biggest love is the family children, whose bedroom she has chosen to settle down in each night.
Isabelle was used as a breeding girl, so she is very friendly and calm around other dogs but has never learned how to play with dogs and toys. She will soon learn how to have some fun, and this is one of the most rewarding changes to see when adopting an ex-breeding dog! Scroll down to see a video of this happy girl learning how to have fun with a ball.
Isabelle walks beautifully on the lead and is even an easy handle for the resident 5-year-old child in her foster home.
This special girl is ready to be a new best friend!
Type of home –
Isabelle is a calm and adaptable girl who would suit many home set-ups. She is ok being left alone at home for short periods but this affectionate girl really would love to be with her family as much as possible. She travels well in the car and is fabulous at socialising so she is ready to come along on most family adventures.
Isabelle is happy to live with other dogs and cats. We find that ex-breeding dogs are happiest when learning how to ‘be more dog’ around their pooch pals, so we would love for her to go to a home where she will have another resident dog or regular visits with one.
We think Isabelle would love to live with sensible children – she absolutely adores them.
Training –
She is still learning about living inside a home and quickly learning where to go potty, so her new family will need to continue her potty training initially.
Adopting – Isabelle is in a foster home in Kingswood and successful applicants will need to come and meet her here.
