Background –
Kizzy came into our care after being found as a stray in Wales and serving her seven days in wardens kennels.
Character –
Kizzy arrived as a very scared and worried girl. With no history of her previous life, she is now learning to navigate living in a home and the outside world. Kizzy has a gentle, sweet nature and just wants to please. Although thriving in her foster home, she can still be timid and sensitive to loud noises. She finds men a bit intimidating and prefers not to be handled by them, but with a gentle approach and plenty of treats, she may overcome her fears. Kizzy is well-behaved in the house, sleeps quietly downstairs at night, and can be left for short periods during the day with no issues. She enjoys the company of other dogs and finds going for walks fun and interesting in quiet areas. Kizzy enjoys off-lead fun with other dogs in secure fields but currently finds busy parks, beaches, or roads overwhelming. Her playful and mischievous side is beginning to show as she becomes more confident.
Type of home –
Kizzy would be happiest in a calm, quiet adult home, preferably with collie experience. A home in a rural or very quiet area would be ideal.
Due to Kizzy’s unknown history and nervous disposition, we feel she would find living in a home with children stressful.
Kizzy can live with or without other dogs, but we feel that a canine companion would really help build her confidence and learn how to have doggy fun!
Kizzy is an intelligent and active breed, so her new family should be physically fit and able to provide her with quality exercise and enrichment.
Adopting – Kizzy is in a foster home in Weston Supermare and successful applicants will need to come and meet her here.
