Background

Lavender was an unwanted farm collie and was handed to Dogs Friends to find a new home.

Character

Lavender has a very affectionate and gentle nature and is very willing to please. She has quickly adapted to living in her foster home, enjoying the freedom to lounge on the sofa and explore the garden but most of all she loves human company.
Lavender was very shy when she arrived and still can be with strangers but she always greets people with a gentle wag of her tail hoping for some attention.
Lavender is living with another little dog in her foster home and could live with another friendly dog. She loves to play with other dogs so a younger playful dog would be great.
Lavender loves walks and has been friendly with all the dogs she meets. At the moment she has two good walks a day. From the onset Lavender was a little unsure about travelling in the car. She’s quiet and well behaved, curling up with her foster friend but did have some travel sickness.Luckily now she’s gained in confidence she is travelling well with no problems.
Lavender sleeps in the kitchen at night and can be left for short periods.

Type of home

Lavender would like a calm home, as a very busy or noisy household would be a bit too much for her to cope with.
She would be best where there is someone home for most of the time as all she wants is to be someones constant companion.
Lavender will need a younger active home where she can have plenty of exercise and adventures, meeting and socialising with other dogs.
Given plenty of time and patience Lavender will become a great friend and companion.

Adopting

Lavender is in foster care in Weston Super Mare and applicants will need to come and meet her here.
