Background – Maxie has arrived with us as his previous guardian became unwell and so was not able to look after him any more.

Character – Maxie is very loving once he knows you but can be wary at first.

Type of home – Maxie will need an experienced home with people who can continue with his training and socialisation. Maxie doesn’t like strangers coming into the house so somewhere without too much coming and going is best for him – he does settle eventually though so certainly has potential to improve this.

Outside of the home – Maxie loves walks and enjoys running around the fields here so may be well suited to an active home with people who can take him on adventures.

Adopting – Maxie is a resident at our kennels near Wells and applicants must be ready to meet him here. Please read our ‘adopting’ page before applying and ensure you are within our catchment area.
