Background –
Meg arrived with us as a stray from Brecon pound, and we believe she was a family ‘pet’ prior to this.
Character –
Meg is a great girl, lively, intelligent, friendly and loyal to the people she knows.
Recently she has spent some time in a foster home. She quickly settled in leaving behind kennel life which she finds very stressful.
Meg bonded strongly with the man of the house. Loving spending time with him as he worked with her training needs. Practising her recall and lead work.
Meg is very clever and willing to learn. She would be particularly suited to a single male owner, who has the time to give her exersise, training and plenty of playtime.
Type of home –
Meg will need a physically fit owner. Preferably GSD experienced but certainly someone used to dealing with large dogs.
Meg does find the outside world a bit overwhelming and can react to passing traffic. Her foster home has made some progress in this matter but anyone adopting Meg will need to continue the good work.
She could possibly live with a similar large dog but would prefer to be the only one as she loves to have the undecided attention of her people.
Sadly she is now back in our kennels and we are desperately hoping someone will give her the chance she deserves.
Adopting –
Meg is a resident at our kennels near Wells so applicants would need to come and meet her here.
