Background

Millie came to us from a breeding background and has never known life outside of a breeding kennels.

Character

Millie is a happy girl who loves affection and play, enjoys her walks but will need gradual introduction to lead walking in new places, so far she’s mastered walking out to the car on a lead then is off lead in a secure field and doesn’t venture too far away from her human.

In new places she can slam on the brakes and may need to be carried for a while so new owners need to be physically capable of this.

She’s been a quick learner in foster, she’s never had an accident indoors, has mastered going up and down stairs, was good as gold being groomed and bathed. She even sits patiently to have her harness put on knowing she’s off out for a walk.

She was initially petrified in the car but now happily hops in ready to go on adventures.

She is super quiet for a schnauzer and doesn’t bark even if her pals are barking. She’s only barked with excitement to get up in the morning when she first arrived.

She was a chewer of anything she could get her mouth on when she first arrived (RIP slippers) but she has quickly learned to just chomp on her toys and chews.

Type of home

A patient home with people who understand new experiences need to be introduced gradually. Millie’s favourite playmates are similar sized dogs, so she would like another playful dog to live with, to follow in new places and who might enjoy some zoomies & exploring with her.  She has been great around dogs of all shapes and sizes.

Adopting

Millie is in foster care in Axbridge and applicants will need to come and meet her here.
