Age: 12 weeks
Background – Jax was very sadly handed in to rescue at just 9 weeks old as his owner did not feel able to keep him. Fortunately, Jax went into a very experienced foster home where he has received essential socialisation and care. Jax had unfortunately not had any vaccinations when he arrived but is now up to date and so will soon be able to fully enjoy the outside world, albeit a little later than planned.
Character – Jax is exceptionally loving and wants nothing more than affection – he loves his humans and will be a very loyal family member.
Type of home – Jax would like to go to a home who really understands collie needs – he will need both mental and physical stimulation and enrichment and would ideally like an active and outdoorsy home. Jax is still a very young dog and so its essential that his new family understand that he will need ongoing training and socialisation around all aspects of his character and behaviour.
Dogs and Cats – Jax can live with other dogs and can live with cats with careful introductions – although he is still learning his feline manners and can be a little over friendly, but nothing that an experienced home couldn’t manage.
Adopting – Jax is in foster care in Somerset and applicants must be in our catchment area. Please read our adoptions page before applying.
