Background

Mitzi and Miley were handed to us from a breeder as ‘retired’ breeding dogs, they went straight into a caring foster home with us.

Character

Mitzi and Miley are best friends. They are fun, cheeky pups who love everyone, especially children!
Considering their background, these two are so open to love and affection and meeting new friends. They’re getting more confident by the day!

They are never far apart and like to play. When Mitzi’s ears go up, her tongue hangs out and she pulls on Miley’s collar……then you know … the zoomies are on their way! and Miley is more than happy to join in.

On a recent visit to another foster home and secure field outing with a large pack of dogs (sized from Shnauser to Greyhound!) these girls could not have been more perfect! They are unphased by larger dogs and fitted into the random pack of dogs with ease.
By far the highlight of their day was the visiting children! As soon as they sited the children they ran up to them, dropped and rolled over for belly rubs! Absolute cuties!

Inside the home –

The girls get on well with all dogs (and are comfortable around Greyhound-sized dogs too!).
They are very settled in the home during the day and they sleep downstairs, through the night, snuggled up together.

They are still learning where the correct place is to go potty, but are generally tidy dogs, so it won’t be long before they are fully house-trained.

Outside the home

Due to their breeding background, Mitzi and Miley have not learnt to walk on a lead yet, but have been exceptionally well-behaved on their secure field outings.

They are easygoing around other dogs and love meeting new people.

They travel very well in the car, even for long distances.

Type of home

Whilst they have been under our assessment in foster care, these two girlies have shown that they would make amazing companions in many home setups.
They are gentle, fun-loving souls who would suit a family that is looking to welcome new family members and provide endless cuddles.
They like to be with their people and don’t become overwhelmed in a busy home environment, in fact, all the more fuss for them!

Mitzi and Miley could live with or without other dogs in their new home, as long as tey have each other they are happy!

They really took a shine to the children they met recently, so we think they would happily live with gentle, dog-savvy children.

The girls are relaxed in the home and are not high-energy and therefore do not require a particularly active home. They are alert and inquisitive and would still require quality exercise and stimulation.

They can happily be left at home for short periods when the family needs to venture off without them.

Their new family will need to be patient and gently continue their lead walking training.

Adopting

Mitzi and Miley are in foster care in Bristol and successful applicants will need to meet them there.
