Oswald – Applications Closed

About This Project

Oswald (Ozzy)

Breed: Lurcher

Age: 10 weeks

Donation: £350

Background – Ozzy came to Dogs Friends after being found as a ‘stray’ – he was taken to the vets covered in waste and in a terrible state, being very underweight and weak. Despite this exceptionally cruel start, Ozzy is a happy little dog and is in a loving foster home.

Type of home – As Ozzy is so young, we feel that he will be able to adapt to his new home well but will need a home committed to puppy training and socialisation, even beyond the cute tiny puppy stage! Ozzy would likely thrive in a family home with plenty of stimulation and attention – he just craves human company and loves to play and cuddle. As he is so young, Ozzy will hopefully be able to be gently trained to accept periods of time alone, but due to his age he will need someone around all of the time to start with.

Dogs and cats – Ozzy adores other dogs and LOVES to play so may enjoy a canine companion. Ozzy is currently being cat tested in foster care – he has shown interested in the cats but has not chased them, so may be able to live with a confident cat in an experienced home.

Adoption process – We are keen to have Ozzy settled in his adoptive home by the age of 12 weeks and so applicants must be available to come and meet him, and facilitate a home check within a few days and be ready to bring him home by 8th August. Ozzy is in foster care in South Gloucestershire and applicants must be in our catchment area (Bristol, Somerset or the immediate surrounding areas) – as he was found as a stray in Weston we would prefer not to rehome him here.
