Background – Percy arrived in rescue along with his Mummy Gail, who is a little Collie. Percy arrived as a bag of bones, but went straight into a foster home for some much needed TLC. Percy had a vet assessment to make sure he is ok, and was sent home to gain some weight.

Character – Percy is clearly a sensitive soul who is frightened of the world, but he just needs a little bit of time. Percy is no trouble and will be a very loving family member, he is already starting to bond with one of his foster carers – he loves belly rubs!

With other dogs – Percy would probably really benefit from moving to another home where there are friendly, calm and quiet dogs who can reassure him, but this isn’t totally essential. Percy does not like excitable dogs at all, and also growls at other dogs when he is eating, understandable as he is so thin and clearly has gone without food previously.

Type of home – Percy needs a calm home, he’s had a bumpy start in life and understandably is unsure of what is going on around him. Percy will need a home with a garden.

Adoption – Percy is looking to move to his new home ASAP – whilst he is welcome to stay in his foster home as long as he needs, we really feel that he would benefit from starting the settling in and bonding process with his new family at as young an age as possible. Percy is in foster care near Bristol.
