Background – Rambo arrived with a unknown history and was described as a Bull Lurcher mix, but it looks like there is some Sharpei in the mix too.
Character – Rambo was very scared and nervous when he first arrived with us, especially around new people. We’ve got to know him a lot over the years, and our kennels team has built a good relationship that he trusts. Rambo prefers females to males but with the correct introductions he can be won over with time.
Once comfortable with you, Rambo loves to play, get cuddles and particularly appreciates toys! He is lively and affectionate, loves his walks and playing ball in our secure fields.
With other dogs – Rambo has been reactive to other dogs in kennels, but our staff feel this could improve with controlled socialising. Rambo’s should be the only dog in his new home but he has learnt how to pass other dogs and is generally content so long as they don’t invade his space.
Type of home – Rambo is a strong, clever boy who loves quality exercise and stimulation. He needs an adult-only, pet-free home with confident handler(s). He is looking for someone who will take their time to get to know him and build trust. Rambo must live in a quiet home, and preferably in a quiet area, as he doesn’t like to be crowded and finds busy areas and lots of people overwhelming. As Rambo has always been in our kennels, we can’t say what he will be like in the home.
Adoption – Rambo is a resident at our kennels near Wells, and applicants will need to come and meet him here.
