  • Rita would prefer to be the only dog but could possibly live with another dog in a calm household
  • Rita may be able to live with older sensible children
  • Rita has not been cat tested
Rita is one of a recent group of dogs over from Romania. They unfortunately have been confined in the holding kennels due to an outbreak of kennel cough. Because of this, they haven’t been able to come to our kennels and be fully assessed so we don’t have a lot of detail about the personalities of these dogs.

In kennels, Rita has shown herself to be a real sweety! She is a little timid but generally people-friendly although is wary of some children, particularly smaller ones.

She is unlikely to have ever lived in a home so adopters will need to be understanding and patient when introducing her to pet life.

Update: Rita has now moved to a foster home. She is loving the comforts of a warm home and has well and truly claimed her spot on the sofa! Rita loves belly rubs and enjoys human company. Rita has been good with the foster carer’s grandson. Rita has struggled a little to cope with living in a home, particularly sharing the space with other dogs. She may well be best as an only dog but she may be able to live with another dog provided she is given space in a calm house with understanding people. She travels well in a car and has enjoyed going for a walk on the beach!
