A message from Roxy: “Hi, I’m Roxy! I’m a middle-aged lady around 8 years old. I don’t much like having my photo taken – my foster carer has done her very best to catch my good side! I’m very good on the lead but if off I’m going to run. I struggle to trust gates and doors but I’m getting better. I’ve never lived in a house before and it’s very strange and new! I’m getting used to being inside but I’d rather be outside so I usually pick a spot right by the door.

I don’t worry about cats, chickens, the sheep in the field and horses. I’m not sure about cars, people and random things that we meet on a walk. I’m looking for someone who doesn’t want to smother me and treat me like a child. I’m a dog I’ll come to you when I’m ready.

I prefer calm people and places and would like a house where not too many demands are made on me at least until I feel ready! I’m looking for a home with another dog. It would be super to have a friend to play with but just another pal is great.”
