Background – Sergeant arrived along with Talker after a life as hunt hounds who are no longer wanted.
Character – Sergeant is the more nervous of the two boys, but is a friendly chap who just needs a bit of extra patience.
Type of home – Sergeant will not be used to living in a home and will need patience and training. An active home in a semi rural area would be the best fit for him, as he loves to go on walks and run free in the secure paddock – he’s pretty high energy! Sergeant enjoys the company of other dogs and so could happily go to a home with others!
Training – Sergeant will need support with his training in all areas, but especially around jumping up and scavenging behaviours but also things like house training.
Adopting – Sergeant is Somerset based and applicants must be willing to meet him here, and he is ready to go to his adoptive home now after his stay at the kennels for assessment.
