Breed: Cocker x Cavalier
Age: 5 and 6 years old
Donation: £550 (as a pair)
Background – Willow and Blossom spent the first years of their lives as breeding dogs and clearly have had many litters. Despite this, they have taken to living in a loving family home like ducks to water! They are very bonded and will need to stay together as we feel separating them would be very distressing and cruel.
Character – The girls are very happy and loving – like two little rays of sunshine, their foster carer says they becoming very cheeky and playful. They are very affectionate and love gentle fuss, but are also happy to play and relax independently. They are very good at being calm in the day time if you work from home, but equally can be lively and playful. Blossom isn’t phased by much, whereas Willow is a watch dog who will bark to let you know what’s going on!
Type of home – The girls have done very well in foster care and are wonderful with young children, and are used to living with other dogs. They would be happy to join a quiet home or a busier family home – they aren’t fussy girls and just go with the flow.
Training needs – The girls are not used to being ‘pets’ and as such need support with lead training (they are making great progress, especially if treats are involved), general socialisation and learning about the world around them.
Health – Willow and Blossom are in fairly good shape and are being spayed on 26th April.
Adopting – They are in foster care in Bristol and applicants must meet them here. They will be ready to go to their new home around the first week of May, assuming they recover well from being spayed.
