Background –
Summer came into our care when her loving owner was no longer in a position to care for her due to a change of circumstances. She went straight into a family foster home.
Character –
Summer is an absolute sweetheart. Having come from a loving background, she settled well into the routine of family life in her foster home.
She was a little unsure of the new environment at first, understandably, but her lovely temperament shone through immediately.
Summer is a gentle soul who seeks out cuddles and affection and loves nothing more than to cuddle up with the resident dog or children in her foster home. In fact she actively seeks the children out when they are not in the room and has grown very fond of them.
Summer is a social butterfly loves going out on walks and family outings to meet new people and other dogs. This super-friendly girl has enjoyed pub and cafe visits with her foster family.
Summer is calm and relaxed when in the home and loves chilling with the family. She sleeps through the night and is fully house-trained.
Summer is ok to be left alone for a short time, but does become stressed and vocal if left for more than two hours.
Type of home –
Summer is a well-rounded dog who would suit many different family home setups. She would love to be embraced into an affectionate home as a beloved member of the family. She is a medium to low-energy girl who does not need a particularly active home, but her new family should still be able to provide her with quality exercise and stimulation.
Summer is fine to live with other dogs and would enjoy their company. She is a calm girl in her senior years so a larger, boisterous canine companion may be too much for her.
Summer really loves children and would love to live with them in the home. Any resident children would need to be dog-savvy, gentle and affectionate.
Although ok to be left alone for short periods, this sweet girl would love to be with her family most of the time and does become vocal when left for too long. Her new family would need to continue her support and provide gentle training.
Adopting – Summer is in a foster home in Whitchurch, Bristol and successful applicants will need to come and meet her here.
