Background – Tilly arrived with us when her family were unable to care for her due to illness. Tilly moved straight into a foster home and has made good progress in terms of her confidence and general wellbeing.
Character – Tilly has not had much training or socialisation but has already shown that she is a quick learner which is also greatly supported by the fact that she is very food orientated.
In the home – Tilly is happy in a home environment and her favourite thing is to cuddle up on someone’s lap, she is extremely affectionate and likes to follow her humans around. Tilly does like to greet visitors by jumping up which her foster family have been working on. As a typical michivious puppy, Tilly will sometimes chew things like bits of paper or her favourite – the cardboard loo roll tube! Tilly has not chewed furniture though, which her foster family are very pleased about!
Outside of the home – Tilly is doing well with learning to walk on the lead and and also started to greet other quiet and calm dogs nicely at the park – it’s just a case that this is all new to her and it’s a bit of a work in progress!
Health – Tilly may have a slightly compromised immune system from a lung infection she had as a puppy when she fell in a pond, this doesn’t cause her issues now but it’s important that her new family are careful about this and always ensure she is vaccinated etc.
Adopting – Tilly is in a foster placement in Weston Super Mare and applicants must be ready to meet her here. Please read our ‘adopting’ page before applying and ensure you are within our catchment area.
