Background –
Veronica was found as a stray and was in a bad way, weighing only 1.9kg and in need of major surgery to repair her PDA (a heart problem). Veronica has now recovered very well from this surgery and can hopefully go on to live a normal life.
Character –
Veronica is a very sweet and loving little girl. She loves a cuddle in your lap or chest and is always finding the warm spots by a radiator or tumble dryer. She loves other people saying hello to her and is still very puppy like in many ways!
Type of home –
Veronica would suit a family home with older children (she loves kids), and would really like a home with people who can give her lots of cuddles but also work up to nice walks as we think she’d really enjoy this (she currently goes out in a sling (she goes out daily with her foster sister and is carried so she is still very familiar with smells, sounds and busy environments). Veronica would be best as a solo pooch as she does guard toys and is a bit princessy! Veronica is still getting the hang of house training as she has been busy with recovering, so her new home will need to be patient with her little piddles whilst she settles in.
Health –
Veronica has recovered well from her recent heart surgery but has some ongoing medical needs that will require ongoing medication. She will need to revisit our vets in 6 – 12 months time, so adopters will need to be able to bring her back for her checkup.
Adopting –
Veronica is in foster care in South Bristol and applicants would need to come and meet her here.
