Background – Zuma arrived in our care when he was unwanted by his owner was in a bad way – riddled with worms and rather weak as a result. Fortunately his foster family have nursed him back to health and he is doing well, after extensive vet care.
Character – Zuma is a very playful and energetic puppy who is very intelligent and eager to learn. Zuma does enjoy a cuddle and when he’s tired he will sleep on you – he’s very much a ‘people dog’.
With other dogs – Zuma is used to living with other dogs and loves to be around them. He can be quite jumpy with dogs so will want another energetic dog that doesn’t mind this.
In the house – Zuma loves to play, but when he is tired is happy to chill out on the sofa. Overnight he will sleep on the bed with you or happily sleep on the floor in the bedroom
Type of home – Zuma is best placed in home with fairly active people who will give him the mental and physical stimulation that he needs. As Zuma was not well cared for as a very young puppy, he ended up being a ‘sickly’ pup who has needed a lot of vet care – he is now feeling much better but his adoptive home will need to be very careful to ensure he stays well.
Training – Zuma will need ongoing training and socialisation, particularly with things like lead walking.
Adoption – Zuma is in foster care in Weston Super Mare and applicants will need to come and meet him here.
