    • Needs to be an only dog
    • Needs an adult only home
    • Cannot live with cats

Background: Joey is an 11 year old Chihuahua x Jack Russell who needs a new home as he is really struggling to adapt to his owners new baby. He may be 11 but he’s very active and full of life!

Character: He’s generally very people friendly & loves a cuddle on the sofa, though he has been known to nip people’s feet when he gets over excited.

Ideal home: Joey is looking for a quiet home where he can enjoy lots of walks and a peaceful and pampered retirement. He gets stressed by children so he needs an adult only home. Whilst he gets along well with other dogs outside of the home in neutral territory, he can guard his possessions and food so needs to be the only dog. In typical terrier fashion, Joey does not like cats.

Behaviour: Joey is perfectly housetrained (although, as with any new rescue, adopters should anticipate accidents) and usually sleeps downstairs alone. He’s happy being left at home whilst his owners go to work. He can be anxious and this has manifested in biting, so he needs a patient and savvy home with people who are happy to give him his space and work on teaching him alternative responses. An extensive handover on Joey will be provided.

Location: Joey lives in Street with his current family, this will be a home from home adoption.
