Character – Mary is a calm, inquisitive and sweet character who has some funny ways – she is the first to come and have a sniff and explore but is yet to accept physical touch and runs away if pushed beyond her comfort zone.
Type of home – Firstly, Mary absolutely loves the company of other dogs, sometimes to play but also just to cuddle up to. Due to her background and nervous disposition we do not feel that Mary would cope at all without other dogs. Mary will need a calm and patient home and is okay to be left for reasonable periods of time.
Training needs – Mary will need some more work on lead walking etc as at the moment she is still going out in a stroller. The outside world and being part of a loving family is all very new to Mary and so she needs socialisation at the appropriate stages.
Adoption – Mary is in foster care with two other dogs in South Gloucestershire and is ready to go to an adoptive home but her new family will need to visit her a few times before she can move house to help her adjust.
