Background – Roman came to us via a breeder. We know very little about Roman’s past (he was not microchipped), but he was used to living in a house and has been a very good boy. Roman shows signs of neglect, in particular he had entropion eye, where the eyelids turn in so that the lashes rub against the cornea, causing great pain and this had been left untreated. This has been fixed now.
Character – Roman is 23kg of compact muscle, looking rather like a miniature Boxer. You might think he has a face only a mother could love, but you can add to her everyone else who meets him. Roman is a charmer – affectionate, he loves a cuddle and to snuggle up next to you on the sofa. Roman is surprisingly energetic, loves to go for a walk and even more to run off lead (and boy does he run). Roman loves the car.
Dogs and Cats – Roman is living as an only dog at present and is happy. With other dogs, he is friendly if they are – some are cautious with him because he grunts a bit and has very little tail to show them what he’s thinking. Roman has met children and is friendly, as he is with everyone, but he is chunky, so not really suitable for younger children. Roman could potentially live with confident cats.
Adopting – Roman is in foster care near Wells and is ready to find his adoptive home. Please read our adopting page
before applying.
