Background –
Jasper joined us as an owner surrender after his previous owner’s dementia meant they could no longer provide the care he needed. He came from a remote countryside home away from the sights and sounds of busy, suburban life.
Character –
Jasper is a laid-back boy and once he gets to know you he’s affectionate and friendly. He’s a quiet and gentle chap looking for his perfect retirement home. Jasper loves belly rubs, chilling out at home, a potter in the garden and a nice walk somewhere quiet. He’s had an unsettled time over the last few months with a lot of change and this has left him feeling anxious and in need of reassurance at times. We are sure this will improve once he has settled in the right home.
Type of home –
Jasper is looking for a relaxing home for his retirement years. One that is steady and stable, not too much coming and going and where his people are around most of the time. He still enjoys walks but prefers them to be in quieter areas away from hustle and bustle. Jasper would probably cope with calm, quiet visiting children on occasion but generally prefers peace and quiet.
Health –
Jasper does have some ongoing skin issues that are likely to need ongoing treatment. He also has an old injury that left him a bit lame in his front leg but this has improved as he’s settled into a better routine. He may need pain relief for this at times.
Adopting –
Jasper is a resident at our Kennels (between Cheddar and Wells) and potential adopters will need to meet him here.
Our catchment area for rehoming is Somerset and the local surrounding areas (such as Bristol, Bath, Weston Super Mare and Wiltshire).
