Background –

Lilys ‘Tree’ Puppies came to us as a bit of a surprise. It turned out Lily was pregnant when she was surrendered into our care! Thankfully we know the dogs she was living with as Lily wasn’t the only dog surrendered by her owner.

Type of home –

We are looking for active, happy homes with people who have the time and energy to commit to training and socialising a puppy into adulthood and beyond. A puppy is a life long commitment, that can take a lot of time, effort and sleepless nights. Please make sure you’re prepared for everything raising a puppy involves, including attending training sessions for them when they’re old enough.

Any resident dogs should be socialised and friendly with other dogs, as well as being tolerant of playful puppies – all resident dogs must be neutered.

We are very happy to rehome with sensible, gentle children who are unphased by typical puppy behaviours.

Any resident cats would ideally already be ‘dog-friendly,’ but don’t worry if they haven’t previously lived with dogs! Just be ready to guide them through a patient introduction period to ensure a peaceful start. Cats can often be stressed when puppies are introduced to the household.

Health –

The puppies will have had their microchips and first vaccinations but will need to return to our vets in Somerset for their final vaccinations. Their Guardianship agreement will include a strict neutering agreement, which will be followed up on when they are old enough to be neutered.

Adopting –

Please only apply to adopt a puppy if you are ready to proceed with the process (home checks, meets etc.) immediately and can bring your puppy home within a week or two of application. The puppies’ foster home is based near Street, and successful applicants will need to meet them here.

Applicants must be within our catchment area (Somerset and the immediate local surrounding areas, such as Bristol, Bath and Wiltshire). You can find further details about our adoption process and catchment area on our adopting page.

We are not able to take applications for specific puppies as this confuses the matching process. Matches will be made based on each pup’s little personality.
