Background

Crumpet came to us via the Pound and is a bit of a mystery item – chipped as a ‘mixed breed’ with a huge coat!

Character

Crumpet is a happy, playful dog who is super friendly and curious! As he is still young and full of beans, he does love to play but also settles well and is polite towards people. Crumpet is usually friendly towards other dogs but very ‘full on’ – we suspect this is hormonal to some degree (he is due to be neutered) and will calm down with further socialisation too.

Crumpet is very good on the lead and enjoys a sniff on his walks and is also a very good boy for his brushing. He is also super responsive to training – especially is you have a stash of his favourite snack, dried fish!

Type of home

We are looking for an empathetic, gentle and active home with someone who can give Crumpet plenty of training and socialisation to ensure his curiosity, energy and happiness is all channeled in the right way. If Crumpet lives with another dog, this would need to be with a very tolerant and well balanced dog and with someone who can manage these integrations. Crumpet doesn’t love being left alone (although this is improving) so will need a home where he does not need to be left often or for long periods.

Crumpet will need daily brushing and regular grooming to manage his fabulous coat.

Adopting

Crumpet is in foster care in Bristol and applicants would need to come and meet him here.
