Background

Hallie was found as a stray and came to use after serving her seven days at the Wardens kennels without being claimed. It’s likely that Hallie has previously lived as a pet of sorts as she settled immediately in her foster home.

Character

Hallie is a pocket-size little diamond who is no bigger than a large Dachshund!
Hallie’s foster mum says that she is just the perfect little dog! She is affectionate and loves to cuddle up on the sofa, but is equally balanced enough to settle down and make herself comfy on her own bed. She is quiet and calm in the home, and has proven to be a fantastic little office and shop assistant when joining her foster mum at work most days. She is a happy girl who loves everyone she meets, dogs and humans! She has a gentle nature and has behaved perfectly around the children in her foster home.

Type of home

Hallie is so well rounded that she would suite most home environments. She is great in social situations and would be an ideal adventure buddy for a busy family, but also settles well in the home and would be great company for a quieter household. Spaniels are intelligent and do love their walks and enrichment, so although Hallie is not demanding and high energy, she would still be happiest with a bit of spice in her life most days. She travels very well in the car and is happy to hop in and set off on adventures.

As she is a social and friendly girl, we think she would like to be in a home where she would have company of her family or another friendly canine pal most of the time.

Hallie has been left at home with her Labrador pals for short periods and she has settled well. She is fully house trained and sleeps through the night in her own bed downstairs with her Labrador foster brothers.

As Hallie is a smaller girl with a gentle nature, we feel she could live in a home with sensible children from as young as 4 years old. She has loved the company of children in her foster family, who are 8 and 11 years old, as well as visiting children aged 6 years.

Hallie has not been cat tested, although she has a gentle nature, we are not sure how she would behave towards any resident cats.

Adopting – Hallie is in foster care in Bridgewater and successful applicants will need to come and meet her here.
