About This Project

Jack

Breed: Collie

DOB: 05/10/2020

Donation: £350

Background – Jack came to us from from a local dog warden kennel and after a short stint in our kennels moved into a loving foster home where he has flourished.

Character – Jack is learning to trust and loves a fuss once he knows you. Jack will happily play games like fetch and will likely be the perfect dog for enrichment games. Jack LOVES a snuggle with his trusted people and has taken a shining to his foster carers adult son.

Type of home – Jack would like a collie savvy home with adults (young kids would be too overstimulating) – he would be best suited to a calm and quiet household. Jack could possibly live with another dog with careful introductions and ongoing training – he loved a recent holiday he shared with another pooch and has previously enjoyed running free in the paddock with other collies.

Training needs – Jack will need ongoing support as he can be lead reactive and would likely thrive with play based training which we can provide support with – we suspect that he is just a little lead-frustrated and wants to play. When he was at the kennels Jack enjoyed free running in the paddock with other dogs and so we are confident that he is very workable and will thrive with the right guidance. Jack does appear to be very capable of picking up training and is keen to please so the perfect candidate for ongoing training!

Adoption – Jack is in foster care in Portishead and applicants must be able to come and meet him here.
