Background –
Mary-Belle originally came to us as one of a litter of 3 pups (Mary, Mungo and Midge) back in 2020. All were quickly adopted and Mary-Belle has had a much loved and happy life until recently, when a sad change of family circumstances meant she needed to come back to us.
Character –
Mary-Belle is a lovely and friendly girl. She is active and intelligent. Mary-Belle is a smarty who can open doors, and she’ll probably alert you to the arrival of any delivery people and passing dog walkers! She enjoys a good run around in her local field and recalls well to a whistle. Mary-Belle can have a nervous disposition and can be jumpy in certain situations.
Type of home –
Her intelligence means Mary-Belle will need plenty of mental stimulation and enrichment as well as physical activity. She is used to having her family around all the time, but she’s gained confidence with being left for short periods whilst in foster care. While fine with larger dogs, Mary-Belle can be a bit bossy and, as such, is selective when she meets other dogs. She’s a strong dog with a prey drive, so her handlers will need to be confident managing this when walking her.
Adopting –
Mary-Belle is in foster care in East Brent, Somerset, and potential adopters will need to meet her here.
Applicants will need to come and meet her there. Please note our catchment area is Somerset and surrounding areas e.g. Bath, Bristol, Weston-super-Mare etc.
