Background

Millie was found as a stray. Her breeder and previous owner were traced but sadly neither wanted her back.

Character

When Millie arrived she was terrified and shut down. Luckily she quickly went to a foster home, where she has gradually come out of her shell.

Millie is a sweet, gentle girl and is happily living with a small dog. She loves a cuddle when she knows you but is still timid with strangers.

Millie is well behaved in the house. She loves her walks and gets excited at the sight of her lead. She loves a good sniff and meeting other dogs and has been friendly with all she’s come across. In between walks Millie is a bit of a couch potato, spending most of the day lounging on the sofa. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

Type of home

Millie will need a calm, quiet home to continue gaining confidence. A busy household would be too stressful for her at present.

Millie is a big strong girl at 29kg (small Lab size) and beginning to show her bouncy, playful side. Millie is a medium energy girl who is currently enjoying her 2 daily walks. She prefers to sniff and socialise rather than run, but watch out when does get the zoomies…her spacial awareness isn’t the best!!

She would probably benefit and enjoy the company of another similar size dog but could be an only dog if she had human company for most of the time.

It’s still early days so we are looking for a home with plenty of patience and understanding of nervous dogs. Who will support her on her journey to becoming a confident companion and cuddle buddy.

Adopting

Millie is currently in Weston-super-Mare and potential adopters will need to visit them here.

Our catchment area for rehoming is Somerset and the local surrounding areas (such as Bristol, Bath, Weston Super Mare and Wiltshire).
