About This Project

Age: 8 years

  • Millie MUST go to a home with other dogs.
  • Millie can live with children 5+
  • Millie is not cat tested

Background – Millie arrived in our care when she was no longer wanted by her breeder. It is clear she has has lots of litters sadly, and she was handed in with a terribly matted coat, dental abscess and rotting teeth.

Character – Millie appears fairly confident for a dog of her background, but rescue dogs can be very good at masking their fear and so everything should still be done with great patience and care. Millie is sweet, affectionate and funny and will be a wonderful and loyal companion for the lucky family who adopt her.

Type of home – Millie would benefit from a calmer home and must have another dog for guidance and reassurance. Millie will need ongoing training and nurturing to support her on the next step of her rescue journey and her new family should be totally committed to ensuring she is given the love and care she deserves.

Adoption – Millie is in foster care in North Bristol and applicants must be willing to come and meet her here.  As Millie is sponsored by Schnauzerfest we can be a little more flexible about the catchment area (usually Bristol, Somerset, Bath and nearby), however applicants should still be within a reasonable distance. Millie will not be ready to go to her adoptive home until she is recovered from her procedures, and it is anticipated that this will be early in March so applicants must be ready from this time but understanding that this could change.
