Background –
Ned came into rescue as his owner had recently had heart surgery and couldn’t manage him. Ned has always lived with his parents and siblings so is used to being in a multi-dog household.
Character –
Ned is a bouncy boy who is always happy to see people – he is also quite a cuddly boy but is equally happy to explore a secure field. When he went to the vets the whole staff said what a lovely boy he is!
Type of home –
Ned would like an experienced and active home with people who are understanding of his typical collie traits and able to support him with ongoing training. Ned is used to living with other dogs and so could live with others subject to successful introductions, and he has lived very nicely with another dog in foster care. We think Ned would be ok with older, sensible and gentle children who won’t mind his bouncing around when he plays!
Ned struggles with traffic reactivity and needs to live in a rural home away from traffic. This reactivity needs a lot of work, and we’d recommend his new family enlist the support of a trainer.
Adopting –
Ned is a resident at our kennels, and applicants would need to come and meet him here.
