Background –
Pip and Rusty, formerly known as Sarah and Diana, were adopted from us in 2022 and have recently been returned to us. They are both originally from a breeding background.
Character –
Pip and Rusty share a very strong bond. They often check in on each other if one is out of sight and love nothing more than squeezing into one bed together to stay close. Their breeding background did leave them anxious and unsure of the world around them but they’ve grown in confidence over time and will continue to do so with the right support. Pip is the more confident of the two girls and is quicker to show her friendly and cuddly side. Once she knows you, she’ll happily jump up onto your lap for cuddles, leaning her little head into you and soaking up all the love.
Rusty is slightly more cautious to build trust, but when she does come out of her shell, it’s so rewarding. Once comfortable, Rusty really enjoys a good scratch behind the ears. She often shows her excitement by grabbing her favourite toy and trotting over, tail wagging enthusiastically.
Type of home –
Pip and Rusty would like a calm home that is understanding of how their backgrounds have effected them. They could live with calm older children but they cannot live with cats or other small animals. They’re intelligent girls and have enjoyed learning new things in the foster home. They enjoy their walks, and once the fun is over, they’re more than happy to curl up on the sofa for a cuddle.
Health –
Pip can occasionally suffer from ear infections
Adopting –
The girls are currently in foster care in Bristol and potential adopters will need to meet them here.
