Background – Sox came to us after being picked up as a stray, and he was luckily offered a fantastic foster placement with the family who adopted Pearl.
Character – Sox is a funny, playful, goofy ball of fluff. This overgrown lapdog loves a cuddle on the sofa, and will definitely need a reassuring human as he can be spooked by loud noises and fast movements.
With other animals – Sox currently lives with a pug and a sighthound, and loves to play. Any other dogs in the home would need to have a similar play style to Sox as he can be very prancy and boisterous. Sox will need a confident and very physically able handler for walking and he is so strong on the lead when he see’s squirrels especially (he wants to get to them!). We will not rehome Sox with cats or where there are small animals in the home.
In the house and out and about – Sox settles well in the home and is happy to be indoors, he does like to follow his people round the house and will want a home where he has free rein. Sox travels well in the car and walks beautifully on lead using his secure harness, but can be excitable when meeting new people and dogs so will need more training with his greeting skills.
Type of home – Sox would prefer an active home with someone who won’t need to leave him on his own much (he is fine for a bit but isn’t the sort of dog who could be happy being left all day whilst people are out at work). Sox would really like a home with people who are affectionate and cuddly with their dogs as he loves to be loved. His new home must have 6ft+ fencing.
Adoption – Sox is in foster care in Somerset and applicants must come and meet him here.
