Background –

Opal was an owner surrender to another rescue, she arrived to that rescue completely paralysed after being hurt in her home. Opal was moved to us to continue her rehabilitation so she could be rehomed.

Character –

Opal is a cuddly, loving, little shadow. She’s a confident girl who loves playing with her toys and cuddling up to you. She has an amazing character, has been really enjoying her walks, and takes everything in her stride. He tail just doesn’t stop wagging!

Type of home –

Opal is looking for an adult only home that will continue to work on her training and physiotherapy. Opal has been good with the children she’s met during foster care but due to her resource guarding tendencies we believe she would be best placed in an adult only home where she can continue her progress.

Opal has coped well with being left and travelling with her foster family. She is currently happily living with 3 cats so she would be happy going to a home with cats, she may be able to live with another dog, subject to successful introductions, however we do not know how her resource guarding will be around another pooch.

Health –

Opal has recovered well from her previous injury but it has left her needing physio therapy to maintain a good body condition and strength. Her new home will need to continue this treatment, she’s going fortnightly for the next 2 months but this will reduce once she’s at full strength. She will likely need top up sessions intermittently moving forward to ensure she remains in good health.

Opal is currently in Cheddar and potential adopters will need to visit them here.

Our catchment area for rehoming is Somerset and the local surrounding areas (such as Bristol, Bath, Weston Super Mare and Wiltshire).
