  • Can they live with other dogs? Possibly dogs of a similar size and of calm and friendly nature
  • Can they live with children? Bonnie would probably find noisy young children a bit overwhelming
  • Can they live with cats? Not fully tested

Background

Bonnie arrived in our care from a very loving owner who had a very sad change in circumstances that meant their world had been turned upside down. Bonnie has always been well looked after and we agreed with her previous Mum that we would look for her new home relatively quickly once she had been assessed in foster care, to minimise disruption to Bonnie.

Character

Bonnie’s foster carer described her as a shy little bundle of love. At first she can be more nervous of men, but before you know it she is on your lap wanting cuddles and kisses. Bonnie is very playful and loves her morning zoomies, especially if there are toys involved! Anyone who meets her would agree she is a very loveable, funny little character!

Type of home

Bonnie absolutely loves her walks and would like a home where she can go out each day – she is very sprightly and would love adventures! Bonnie is a really affectionate dog and would need a home with someone who is happy to cuddle up with her, and where she can sleep in bed with her people as she always has done. Bonnie has only ever lived in a quiet household with one lady, so may find a very busy family home a bit much. It’s also a case that she has only ever been a solo dog but she has been very friendly with other dogs out on walks so may be happy to live with another small pooch. Bonnie doesn’t mind being left on her own for a little bit.

Health

Bonnie is in good health (our vet has assessed her and she has always received regular vet checks) and has always been well cared for, but is a fussy eater and would need a home with people who are patient about this! Bonnie will need regular grooming which she is used to having.

Adopting

Bonnie is in foster care in North Bristol and applicants would need to attend a meet and greet here. Please only apply if you are ready to welcome a dog into the family and do not have any upcoming holidays etc that may delay the process.
