DOB: 09/2019
Breed: Border Collie (22.2kg)
Donation: £350
Background –
Buddy came to us having served his 7 days in a Welsh pound after being picked up as a stray. He was initially thought to be a young dog but his microchip says he is about 5.
Character –
Although Buddy was a stray our kennels team think he has been a pet dog at some stage rather than a discarded farm Collie. Buddy has really enjoyed running around in our secure field and loves to play fetch with a ball.
Type of home –
We are looking for a fairly active home who can offer plenty of exercise as well as mental stimulation to keep this smart boy occupied. Buddy has had some basic training and walks nicely on a lead. Our kennels team describe him as having a medium energy level.
Health –
Buddy has clearly been suffering long term from skin issues. This has been treated but has left him quite sore and sensitive, with some bald patches. Due to this he can be quite sensitive to touch around his back end so his adopters need to be mindful of this, hence why we’ve stipulated sensible, older children.
Adopting – Buddy is a resident at our kennels between Cheddar and Wells and applicants would need to come and meet him here.
